Our team’s proposed development will make the Balboa Reservoir into a welcoming community organized around a large central park with connections to surrounding neighborhoods. Like the best San Francisco neighborhoods, this will be a diverse community serving a range of incomes and household types, with a special focus on families with children and CCSF faculty and staff. It will also be a deeply sustainable place that prioritizes walking, biking, and the shared stewardship of resources. Most importantly, this community will be called “home” by up to 1,100 San Francisco households, at least half of whom will qualify for affordable/workforce housing. The Balboa Reservoir has the potential to have a meaningful impact on the Bay Area’s housing crisis.
NEW! Transportation studies on the Balboa Reservoir Project, Non – CEQA. Topics include Parking Supply and Demand, Vehicle operations, and feasibility of shuttle service.
Every member of our team has a longstanding reputation for in-depth and successful community-oriented development. The first step to any successful project is a deep understanding of the project context – the people, places, institutions, and patterns that shape any neighborhood’s daily life. We have begun to gain some of this understanding through the first months of our community outreach process, and what we have learned has already shaped the way we are thinking about the development proposal. We are eager to continue our dialogue with community members, neighbors, the CCSF community, business owners, and a broad range of stakeholders as we develop and refine our plan for the site. Please join us in 2018 as we continue to refine the site design and help us develop more detailed plans for parks and open space, architecture, transportation and parking, sustainability, and the other aspects of the proposed project.
